1. Who may use the Service
You must be at least 16 years old to create an Aura account, and at least 18 years old to purchase a subscription or to join the Aura Daily text message program. If you are between 16 and 18, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf. The Service is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. You must have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement, and you must not be barred from using the Service under the laws of your country or of the United States.
2. Your account
Some features require an account. You agree to give accurate information, to keep your credentials confidential, and to tell us promptly at support@auraapp.com if you believe your account has been used without your permission. You are responsible for activity under your account. One account is for one person; do not share, sell or transfer it. We may suspend or close an account that violates these Terms, that is used to abuse other users or our staff, or that we are required to close by law.
3. Not medical, psychological, legal or financial advice
This section matters more than the rest. Aura provides wellness, educational and entertainment content. Astrological charts, horoscopes, transit readings, tarot interpretations, numerology and similar content are provided for reflection and entertainment. They are not predictions of fact and must not be used as a substitute for professional judgement — yours or anyone else's. Do not rely on them for medical, psychological, legal, financial, employment, relationship, reproductive or other consequential decisions.
Yoga, movement, breathwork and meditation content is general instruction, not personalised medical care, physical therapy or mental health treatment. Consult a qualified physician before beginning any exercise programme, particularly if you are pregnant or postpartum, have a cardiovascular, respiratory, musculoskeletal or neurological condition, have had recent surgery or injury, or are taking medication that affects blood pressure, balance or heart rate. Stop immediately if you feel pain, dizziness, faintness or shortness of breath, and seek medical attention. Certain breathwork practices, including breath retention, carry risks; never practise them in or near water, while driving, or if you have a history of fainting, seizures or panic attacks.
Aura is not a crisis service. If you are in danger or considering harming yourself, contact your local emergency number, or in the United States call or text 988 for the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.
You participate in any practice at your own risk, and you are responsible for choosing a safe space, appropriate equipment and a level suited to your ability on the day.
4. Subscriptions, billing and trials
Aura offers a free tier and a paid subscription, Aura Plus, sold as a monthly, annual or family plan. Current prices are shown in the app and on the Pricing page, in your local currency where available, and may change with notice.
Where you subscribe through the Apple App Store or Google Play, the purchase is processed by that store under its own terms, and that store — not Aura — holds your payment details. Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price until cancelled. Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation of purchase and again within 24 hours before the end of each period. To cancel, use the subscription settings in your Apple or Google account; deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then.
Where a free trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. One trial per person; we may withdraw or vary trial offers. Refunds for store purchases are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. Where we bill you directly, we will refund a first subscription payment on request within 14 days of purchase, and otherwise as required by the consumer law that applies to you. Nothing in this section limits any statutory right of withdrawal or cancellation you may have.
5. The Aura Daily text message program
Aura Daily is an optional recurring text message program. Joining it requires your express written consent, given by texting the keyword AURA to 63566 or by submitting your mobile number and confirming the reply we send. Consent is not a condition of purchasing anything. Message frequency varies, up to 8 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to end the program, or HELP for help. The SMS Mobile Terms govern the program in full and form part of these Terms.
6. Licence and acceptable use
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the Service on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, in accordance with these Terms and any applicable store rules.
You agree not to: copy, record, screen-capture for redistribution, download except through features we provide, publicly perform or broadcast our classes; use the content to teach paid or unpaid classes of your own; resell or sublicense access; reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract source code or our astrological calculation logic except to the extent that restriction is unenforceable by law; circumvent paywalls, rate limits or security measures; use bots, scrapers or automated access; upload malware; interfere with the Service's operation; impersonate anyone; harass other users or our staff; or use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in breach of export controls or sanctions.
7. Your content
Journal entries, notes, saved charts, birth details, voice notes and anything else you create in the Service are yours. You keep all rights in them. You grant us only the limited licence needed to host, encrypt, back up, sync and display that content to you, and to provide the features you have asked for. We do not use your journal entries to train models, and we do not sell them. You may export or delete your content at any time from Settings; deletion is permanent, and we complete it in our live systems within 30 days and in backups within 90 days, except where we must keep records by law.
8. Our intellectual property
The Service, including its software, class recordings, written interpretations, tarot artwork, audio, design, typography and the Aura name and marks, is owned by Aura Corp or licensed to us and is protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. These Terms grant you no rights in it beyond the licence in section 6. Third-party names and marks belong to their owners.
9. Third-party services and stores
The Service works with third parties including Apple, Google, payment processors, our text message aggregator, analytics providers and health platforms. Their handling of your information is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. If you obtained the app from a store, that store is not a party to these Terms, has no obligation to support the Service, and is a third-party beneficiary entitled to enforce the provisions of these Terms that relate to it.
10. Changes to the Service
We are still building Aura. We may add, change, suspend or withdraw features, content or whole classes, and we may retire a plan. Where a change materially reduces what a paid subscription includes, we will give reasonable notice and, where required, a pro-rata refund. Availability may also be interrupted for maintenance, carrier or store outages, or events beyond our control.
11. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, that astrological calculations or interpretations are accurate or suitable for any purpose, or that using the Service will produce any particular result for your health, mood, relationships or circumstances. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aura Corp and its officers, employees, contractors, teachers, astrologers and licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service in any twelve-month period will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in that period or fifty US dollars. These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
13. Assumption of risk and indemnity
You acknowledge the risks of physical exercise and breath practice described in section 3 and accept them voluntarily. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Aura Corp from claims, damages, losses and reasonable legal costs arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your use of the content to instruct others.
14. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, if your use exposes us or other users to legal risk, or if we cease operating the Service, in which case we will give notice where practicable and refund any unused prepaid period. Sections 3, 7, 8 and 11 to 16 survive termination.
15. Disputes, arbitration and class action waiver
If something goes wrong, write to legal@auraapp.com first; most problems are resolved that way, and both sides agree to try for 30 days before starting formal proceedings.
If we cannot resolve it, and to the extent permitted by the law that applies to you, you and Aura agree that any dispute will be settled by binding individual arbitration administered by JAMS under its Streamlined Arbitration Rules, seated in San Francisco, California, or conducted remotely at your election. Either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court instead. You and Aura waive any right to a jury trial and to participate in a class, collective or representative action. You may reject this arbitration agreement by writing to legal@auraapp.com within 30 days of first accepting these Terms, in which case the courts named in section 16 apply. This section does not apply where arbitration or a class action waiver is unenforceable under your local law — including for consumers resident in the European Union, the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, who keep the right to bring proceedings in their own courts.
16. Governing law and general terms
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the state and federal courts in San Francisco County have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes not subject to arbitration — except that if you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections and court venues of your country of residence. If a provision is held unenforceable, the rest stands. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. These Terms, the Privacy Policy and the SMS Mobile Terms are the entire agreement between us about the Service.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If a change is material we will notify you in the app or by email at least 14 days before it takes effect, and continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the updated Terms. The date at the top of this page always shows the current version, and previous versions are available on request.
