Everything the app does, without the marketing shrug

Aura is five things in one place: an astrology engine, a yoga library, a meditation and breath timer, a set of ritual tools, and a private journal. Everything below is what you actually get, on iOS and Android, at the same version number.

01

Astrology

A real chart engine, not a sun-sign column. Everything here is calculated, dated and explained.

Your full natal chart

Enter your birth date, exact time and city and Aura calculates a real chart from Swiss Ephemeris data: ten planets plus Chiron, the lunar nodes and the angles, in signs, in houses, with all major and minor aspects. Choose Placidus, Whole Sign or Equal houses; tropical or sidereal. Every placement has a written interpretation, not a keyword list. No birth time? Aura runs a solar chart and says plainly which readings are affected.

The daily horoscope

A morning reading built from today's transits against your chart. It names the transit doing the work, says how long it lasts, and rates the day across energy, focus, mood and connection. Weekly and monthly outlooks sit behind the same screen, and a year-ahead view marks the transits worth writing on a calendar.

Transits and returns

A live transit list with exact orbs and dates, ingresses, stations and eclipses. Solar returns on your birthday, lunar returns each month, and the outer-planet transits — Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto — on a timeline, so a three-year passage looks like three years instead of a surprise.

Compatibility and synastry

Save charts for partners, friends and family, then run synastry and composite charts between any two. Aura scores the aspects that matter and explains the difficult ones without flinching. Your circle stays private; nobody hands over an address book.

Written by astrologers

Interpretations come from practising astrologers, credited by name in the app. Longer chart essays — the sort you'd normally pay for a reading to hear — are published for each sign and rising combination and updated as the sky moves.

Ask Aura

A guided question box that answers from your own chart and the current transits — where your Venus sits, what the eclipse touches, whether this week is the week. It cites the placement behind every answer, so you learn the craft instead of taking its word.

02

Yoga and movement

A library big enough to last years, with filters good enough to find one class in ten seconds.

A person moving through a low lunge on a boardwalk at golden hour.

The library

Around fourteen hundred classes across hatha, vinyasa, yin, restorative, power, kundalini, prenatal and chair yoga, plus mobility and stretch sessions for the days yoga isn't the answer. Five to ninety minutes, beginner to advanced, with a genuine absolute-beginner path that starts on the floor.

Filters that respect your life

Filter by length, style, level, teacher, body focus, intensity, props available, and whether you need it quiet because someone is asleep. Save filters as presets — “15 minutes, no props, no talking” is one tap from the home screen.

Programs

Multi-week courses with a shape: Foundations in 14 Days, Backs and Desks, Sleep in a Fortnight, Strength Through Yin, Return After Illness, and a moon-cycle program that runs new moon to new moon. Miss a day and the program reschedules rather than shaming you.

Pose library

Every pose used in class has a page: Sanskrit and English names, entry and exit, alignment cues, contraindications, and modifications for wrists, knees, shoulders, hips and pregnancy. Build your own sequence from it and Aura times the holds.

Matched to your transits

One class suggested each morning with a stated reason drawn from your chart, plus an elemental view of the library — fire, earth, air and water sequences — for anyone who'd rather choose by feel. The suggestion is a suggestion.

On any screen in the room

AirPlay and Chromecast, picture-in-picture, background audio, playback speed, and an audio-only mode for classes you know by heart. Offline downloads on Aura Plus, including whole programs before a flight.

03

Meditation and breath

Guided when you want a voice, silent when you don't.

Guided sessions

Body scans, loving-kindness, breath awareness, yoga nidra, walking meditations and a three-minute reset for the middle of a bad afternoon. Two voices for most sessions, with the option to keep one teacher throughout.

Breathwork

Box breathing, 4-7-8, coherent breathing, alternate nostril and the physiological sigh, with an animated pacer, haptics you can follow with your eyes shut, and adjustable ratios. Safety notes where they belong, and no breath-holds recommended in water.

Unguided timer

A plain timer with interval bells, warm-up, ambient beds and a gentle end. Two minutes or an hour; it runs with the screen off and logs the sitting either way.

Sleep

Sleep stories, soundscapes, brown noise and wind-down sequences with a fade-out timer, plus a bedtime routine that ends the day's practice and closes the journal for you.

04

Ritual, moon and tarot

The parts of the practice that follow the calendar rather than the clock.

Lunar calendar

Phase, sign and illumination for every day, with new and full moons, eclipses, supermoons, void-of-course windows and the moon's next ingress. Set an alert for the exact moment of a phase, or for the evening before.

Rituals worth doing

New moon intention setting and full moon release, written as steps with a practice attached — a sequence, a breath, a page of prompts. Seasonal rituals for solstices, equinoxes and cross-quarter days, and a Mercury retrograde page that mostly tells you to back things up.

Tarot

A daily card and three-card pull for everyone; Celtic cross, relationship, year-ahead and custom spreads on Plus. Full seventy-eight-card reference with upright and reversed meanings, reversals on or off, and a saved history you can read back a year later.

Numerology and correspondences

Life path and personal year numbers, chakra and element balances read off your chart, crystal and herb correspondences for each ritual, and a mantra of the day — each cross-linked to the practice it goes with.

05

Journal and reflection

Encrypted on the device, and never read by us.

Prompts tied to the sky

Each morning's prompt comes from the transit doing the most work that day; each evening's is a short review. Free writing is always available, and voice notes transcribe on the device.

Mood and pattern

Log mood, energy and sleep in two taps. Over months Aura shows the correlations it can actually see — your practice against your mood, your moods against the moon — and says clearly when a pattern is too thin to mean anything.

Yours, and locked

Entries are encrypted on the device and behind Face ID, Touch ID or a passcode. Search the whole journal by word, card, mood or transit. Export everything as text or PDF, and delete it for good in one place.

06

Progress, reminders and texts

Every nudge is opt-in, and every one can be switched off.

Health and activity

Optional two-way sync with Apple Health and Google Fit for mindful minutes, yoga workouts, heart rate and sleep. Ask for it and it's on; ignore it and Aura never reads a byte of health data. Apple Watch and Wear OS apps run classes and breath pacers on the wrist.

Streaks without the guilt

Minutes practised, sessions logged, cards pulled and pages written, with weekly and monthly summaries. Streaks can be turned off entirely, and a rest-day setting keeps one without lying about it.

Reminders and widgets

Choose exactly which notifications you get — morning reading, practice reminder, moon phase, retrograde warning — and at what time. Home and lock screen widgets show today's reading, card and phase, and Siri and Google Assistant shortcuts start a class by voice.

Aura Daily by text

Prefer a text message to a push notification? Text AURA to 63566 and your daily reading, practice nudges and download links arrive by SMS. Up to 8 messages a month, STOP to end it. Sign up here or read the mobile terms.

07

The app itself

Both platforms, one version, no “coming soon to Android”.

Devices

iOS 16 and later, Android 10 and later, iPad and tablet layouts, Apple Watch and Wear OS companions. Features ship on both at the same time, and your account and history sync across every device you sign in on.

Built to be used

Light and dark themes, dynamic type up to the largest sizes, full VoiceOver and TalkBack support, captions on every class, reduced-motion mode, and offline use for anything downloaded. English, Spanish, Portuguese, French and German.

Privacy, plainly

No advertising, no selling of personal information, no third-party trackers in the practice screens. Health data is never used for marketing. Journal entries are encrypted on the device. Export or delete everything from Settings without emailing anyone. The Privacy Policy says the same at greater length.

Start with the chart. The rest takes five minutes a day.

Free on both stores. Aura Plus opens the full library when you want it.
